You are invited to come along with me as I learn about Japanese ceramics. I will share what I learn about the kilns, history, terminology, potters, decorators, styles, and marks. This is a work in progress. ** NOTICE: I DO NOT ANSWER QUERIES ON PERSONAL PIECES. I DO NOT GIVE VALUATIONS. General comments and questions will still be accepted.

MINOO (Minoh) YAKI (箕面焼)-Ceramics of Osaka Prefecture
Minoo Yaki is made in the area near the Minoo Waterfall in Osaka Prefecture. It is made by the Matsuda family since 1910. It is characteristically a bright red, often with a black and/or white marbling effect. The shop is located on the quaint path leading to the scenic Minoo Falls.
