Shida Yaki was made in Shiota, Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, Japan from the Edo period. It was made for the general public. It reached the height of its popularity in the mid-to late 19th century. Common things to look for in identifying Shida Yaki are the multiple stilt marks, and the pictured scenes, generally in a broad stroke.
