NANZAN YAKI (南山焼き)-Ceramics of Tochigi Prefecture

Nanzan yaki is made in Sano city, Tochigi Prefecture, along route 66. It is not a well known pottery style, being overshadowed by the more famous pottery of the prefecture, Mashiko yaki. It is none the less a pottery with a lovely rustic and earthy character.
