Maneki Neko

These beckoning cats are found all over JAPAN, in front of restaurants and shops greeting all who enter with an uplifted paw. They come in many varieties, shapes, and sizes. The Japanese love anything "Kawaii" or cute.

This porcelain maneki neko is signed Imari. It was probably made in the latter part of the 20th century.

This Maneki Neko is hand sewn with chirimen fabric.

You can find these in almost any tourist shop in Japan.

Generic Made in Japan Andrea by Sadek Maneki Neko.
